Ninh Hoa Field Trip

Every year, towards the end of summer, the core team members of Nui Tuong, together with the volunteer teachers, organize field trips — not only to give the students opportunities to explore and learn in new places, but also to relax after a hard-working time of meaningful activities.

This year, the Nui Tuong team enjoyed a three-day, two-night trip to Ninh Hoa filled with memorable experiences: from swimming in crystal-clear beaches, exploring local markets and cuisine, to camping by the sea and watching the fishermen bring in their fresh catch at dawn after a night out on the ocean.

The group also visited natural hot springs, the Institute of Oceanography, and the National Historical Site “No-Number Ship”—where they learned more about Vietnam’s proud history during wartime.

Alongside all the fun and discovery, everyone kept a sense of environmental responsibility, striving to minimize single-use plastic. Each student brought their own water bottle and used reusable food containers instead of consuming plastic cups, straws, and nylon bags.

Though short, this three-day journey left behind countless memories and lessons for the Nui Tuong core members — adding an even brighter touch to their summer!

UWC Post

🌿 FROM NUI TUONG TO THE WORLD… 🌿

From July 4th to 12th, Nui Tuong welcomed 29 participants from 12 countries for Embodying Earth, a UWC short course by Education for Good about climate change and connection with nature. Five Nui Tuong students also joined as participants.

During the program, participants planted trees in Cat Tien National Park, learned about sustainable farming at Stone Hill Farm, and explored ways to take action against climate change. They also practiced community living—sharing vegetarian meals, helping with daily chores, and connecting with both nature and local students.

The course created a space for deep reflection, international friendship, and responsibility toward a regenerative future. Special thanks to the wonderful facilitation team for their support and collaboration with Nui Tuong.

The program concluded beautifully, marking not only an end but also the start of many new journeys ahead. We look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership and bringing more opportunities for learning and connection in the near future 🌿

Singapore Post

Since 2019, Nui Tuong has been very delighted to welcome many Singaporean friends for service trips. We have hosted delegations of students and teachers from:

  • National University of Singapore
  • Anglo-Chinese School (ACS)
  • Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP)
  • DEYI Secondary School

They have participated in many activities, including building toilets, water tanks, and playgrounds, as well as painting murals and organizing community days and exchange classes with local students.

Alongside community service, we also created opportunities for cultural exchange and mutual learning. Together, we held Vietnamese and Singaporean language lessons, enjoyed evenings of music and performances, and shared traditional Vietnamese cooking, singing, and dance workshops.

Nui Tuong is deeply grateful for the contributions and memories our Singaporean friends have brought. These experiences have enriched our students and community, and they continue to inspire our team to move forward on our journey ahead.
